Substation Asset Renewal With Controlled Maintenance Planning
Our role: Technical solution coordination, transformer component supply, monitoring preparation and product support.
Project setting
An East China substation combined transformer renewal work with a planned maintenance outage rather than treating the component change as an isolated purchase.
Decision pressure
Incomplete legacy records and a fixed outage window meant interface questions had to be closed before equipment and labour were scheduled.
ELETERGY contribution
Bushing and protection-component coordination, gasket and hardware matching, interface review and preparation for future condition monitoring.
Why the outage window shaped the work
The cost of a mismatched bushing is not limited to the component itself. A wrong flange pattern, conductor interface or gasket arrangement can consume the outage window before installation begins. The project team therefore treated compatibility evidence as part of outage planning.
The release decision
The proposed bushing was not released from an old model reference alone. Available nameplates, tank-interface dimensions, current path, insulation construction, creepage and terminal details were brought together so confirmed data could be separated from assumptions requiring owner approval.
What went into the outage pack
The approved drawing and routine-test requirements travelled with the matching gasket, hardware and handling notes. Lifting, torque and oil-handling information was aligned with the site's own maintenance procedure rather than presented as a substitute for it.
Result
The procurement record linked the delivered model and standard product records to the transformer asset file before the outage started. This gave the site team a controlled basis for installation and close-out, with future monitoring provisions already visible in the record.
